Alisha Porath is a compassionate and dedicated mental health professional who is passionate about supporting individuals and families through life’s challenges. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Healthcare from Siena Heights University in Michigan and is currently pursuing her Master of Social Work (MSW) with the goal of becoming a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
Alisha brings experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations across a variety of settings. Her professional background includes child welfare and foster care, community care coordination for children and families navigating behavioral and mental health systems, and supporting individuals with complex medical needs. She has also worked with individuals experiencing substance and alcohol use concerns, as well as people living with mental health challenges including anxiety, depression, and OCD.
Alisha is committed to creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental, and inclusive space for every client. She values working with individuals and families from all backgrounds and has experience supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, unconventional and diverse family structures, and those navigating complex or challenging circumstances.
Her approach is grounded in compassion, empathy, and advocacy. Alisha believes that each person is the expert on their own life and strives to meet clients where they are, while helping them identify their strengths, navigate barriers, and work toward meaningful change. She hopes to create a therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, respected, understood, and empowered throughout their journey.
