Neal Ridgeway joined Anne Arundel Counseling in 2022 for his practicum and internship while attending Liberty University’s master’s degree program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. He completed this program in May 2023. Neal became a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC) in 2024.
After obtaining his licensure, Neal started working part-time in a community-based counseling center where he provides individual therapy. In this practice Neal works with clients of all ages. While working in the community-based counseling center, Neal decided to expand return to Anne Arundel Counseling to assist clients in reducing/ eliminating the mental health challenges that have come up in their life.
At Anne Arundel Counseling Neal has conducted individual and group therapy sessions. In these sessions, Neal uses cognitive behavioral therapy and Rogerian therapy to build trust and rapport to better understand the client’s needs. Neal’s clinical areas of special interest include, but are not limited to; working with client’s having challenges with depression, anxiety and PTSD.
