Renee Belisle, MSW, LCSW-C

Renee Belisle is a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) specializing in providing Individual, Couples and Family Therapy with an emphasis on a wholistic approach that addresses the mind, body and spirit. Renee has over 33 years of experience working with diverse families and individuals experiencing complex issues. She provides a safe space for her clients to build trust and to begin a journey of healing.

Renee currently serves within a group practice, working with a wide array of clients. Among her specialties are anxiety disorders, mood disorders, PTSD, trauma, substance use and abuse, communication and relationship issues and co-occurring disorders. Modalities of treatment include Talk Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Insight Oriented Therapy, Mindfulness, Meditation and Stress Management.

Renee has a strong background in working with individuals who have experienced Trauma in their life, in its many forms, including childhood sexual/physical/emotional abuse, developmental and community trauma, war trauma, vicarious trauma, and
domestic violence.

She has worked with underserved populations, and served as the Clinical Director of an award-winning housing program that served individuals struggling with Serious Persistent Mental Health Illness (SPMI), chronic health issues, hoarding behaviors, cooccurring mental health and substance use and developmental disabilities

She worked for Montgomery County Health & Human Services for 10 years, and served as a member of the HHS/Maryland State Disaster Shelter Team, the Montgomery County QSR (Quality Service Review) Team, and the Montgomery County Co-Occurring Disorders Trainers Group. Renee is a member of the National Association of Social
Workers (NASW), and is a Maryland State Board of Social Work Examiners Approved Clinical Supervisor.
